1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service are entered into between you and Thannlab Pty Ltd (ComplyMate), operator of https://complymate.co.za. By accessing the website or using our POPIA compliance assessment, you agree to be bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Service description
ComplyMate provides an online POPIA compliance self-assessment tool for South African businesses. The free assessment gives an indicative score and grade. Paid features (full report, monitoring) will be described at the point of purchase.
3. Not legal advice
ComplyMate provides compliance guidance and educational information only. It does not constitute legal advice. Results are not a legal certificate of compliance. Consult a qualified legal professional for advice specific to your organisation.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform
- Misrepresent assessment results as official legal certification
- Share account credentials with unauthorised parties
5. Accounts and payments
Paid features require account registration and payment via our authorised payment provider. Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR). Refund policies will be stated at checkout when paid features launch.
6. Intellectual property
All content, branding, questions, scoring methodology, and software on ComplyMate are owned by Thannlab Pty Ltd or its licensors. You may not reproduce or distribute our materials without written permission.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the assessment will identify every compliance gap.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Thannlab Pty Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
